A temple in York, PA is seeking a warm, compassionate, and organized Senior Engagement Liaison to serve as the primary connector between our senior congregation members and the Temple community.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively engage with older adults to combat social isolation
• Work with a committee to recruit volunteers
• Facilitate access to Jewish life with the volunteers
• Organize programs
• Coordinate necessary care services
• Collaborate seniors with youth groups within the Jewish community.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of aging issues, local elder services, and Jewish culture/values
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Sensitive to the needs of elders and caregivers
• Organizational skills to maintain confidential senior information, program data and maintain program database
• College degree is highly desirable

Salary Range: $18,000 to $20,000

Schedule: Part-time – 15 hours a week
