Sales Development Representative

A full-service print, design, and marketing firm located in the Baltimore metro area is seeking to hire a Full-time Sales Development Representative to join its team. This is a telephone-based, inbound and outbound sales role, so a high degree of confidence on the phone is a MUST! Our leads come from both new prospects and existing customers and come in every week. There is no expectation of cold calling in this role—all leads are already interested in and purchasing the services that firm provides. We are talking about previous, current, or interested customers. The person in this position would be expected to generate a set amount of sales volume, that would increase over time. Providing excellent customer service is at the very top of our priority list! This position will primarily be responsible for generating new opportunities for business.

Responsibilities:

  • Receives inbound calls from new and established customers.
  • Educates these customers on what firm has to offer.
  • Recommends a marketing campaign based on their needs.
  • Stays in communication with these customers to ensure they are satisfied and keeps them reordering.
  • Makes a set number of daily outbound calls to warm leads—inactive customers and existing customers to generate opportunities for business.
  • Ensures that all customer information is accurate in our database.
  • Once a project need is identified, pass lead to appropriate teammate to manage the project details and execution.

Requirements:

  • Outgoing and super friendly with everyone you meet
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Self-starter who needs very little oversight to accomplish goals
  • Willing and able to strike up a natural conversation with anyone
  • Persistent despite obstacles or barriers
  • Driven to make money, motivated by the thrill of getting that next sale
  • Experience in selling or customer service over the phone
  • Ambitious and not afraid to ask for the sale
  • Comfortable with technology
  • Loves working in a high-energy, collaborative environment

Pay:  Starting salary is $17/hr. plus opportunity to earn bonuses/commission after 3-6 months. There is NO LIMIT to your earning potential if you drive results! Opportunity to be promoted within 6-12 months if you are a true rock star!

Schedule:   Full-time; Monday-Friday; 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
