Program Associate-HYBRID POSITION

A program of a large nonprofit which works to enhance Jewish life and addresses charitable, educational, religious, humanitarian, health, cultural and social service needs of the Jewish community locally, nationally, in Israel and throughout the world is seeking a Full-time Program Associate to join its team. The Program Associate for Service Partnerships will serve as a liaison between the program’s professionals and local service partners, including nonprofit organizations, public schools, and other organizations that need volunteers, to ensure the volunteer matching process and communication between stakeholders is efficient and effective. The Program Associate will play a key role on a dynamic team to identify, share, and meet the needs of its service partners through various program models. This professional will also oversee the process of delivering donations and maintaining presence on social media to ensure that program can achieve its mission of engaging volunteers to meet vital community needs and live with purpose through meaningful service.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as key contact for  service partners, managing the overall relationship on behalf of the organization.
  • Work closely with professionals to understand the needs of their audiences and represent service partners’ needs in matching volunteers with projects and placements.
  • Manage internal communication systems and database to identify and track volunteer and donation needs, individual and group volunteer placements, and donation receipt and deliveries.
  • Coordinate the volunteer referral process and help individuals and groups identify and commit to a meaningful volunteer opportunity.
  • Manage donations of indirect service projects by supporting quality control and working with a team of volunteer drivers to ensure efficient and timely delivery of donations.
  • Manage social media presence (currently Facebook) by curating and sharing content from the rest of the team and service and community partners.
  • Contribute to culture and embrace their values in the workplace, including a commitment to racial and social justice which is core to the program’s work.

Requirements:

A relationship builder who can easily connect with people and exemplifies teamwork. You are able to effectively prioritize and exhibit a high attention to detail and follow through as this role involves a high level of multi-tasking and coordination. The ideal candidate will be committed to social justice and inter-group community building.

  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience, ideally in social service or relationship management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to follow through
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft365; experience with Google docs and database systems.
  • Commitment to racial and social justice.
  • Access to consistent transportation.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed, including paid holidays.

Pay:  DOE; $45,900 – $50,500/year
