A non-profit organization that promotes bilateral trade and economic development between Maryland and Israel is seeking a Production & Quality Control Manager to oversee all assembly and quality assurance activities within the system.This role ensures that products — including rugged control systems, cable assemblies, and electronic modules — are built, inspected, and tested according to standards and international quality requirements. The ideal candidate combines strong technical understanding of electronics and mechanical assemblies with hands-on experience in managing small production teams and implementing QA procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily assembly operations.
- Ensure compliance with IPC/WHMA-A-620/610, MIL-STD-810, and NTI internal quality procedures.
- Lead all incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
- Prepare and maintain FAI reports, test documentation, and photo records.
- Manage production schedules, priorities, and workload of assembly technicians.
- Identify and resolve quality issues, implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Calibrate and maintain testing and measuring equipment.
- Communicate with the R&D team regarding technical changes, BOM updates, and test standards.
- Support training of new assembly staff on production and inspection procedures.
- Maintain ESD control, cleanliness, and workplace organization.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Electronics, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or assembly management.
- Proven background in QA/QC and production supervision within small to medium manufacturing environments.
- Experience with FAI, IPC/WHMA-A-620, ISO 9001, or MIL-STD standards is a strong advantage.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of soldering standards, cable assembly processes, and functional testing.
- Familiarity with test equipment: multimeters, power supplies, environmental chambers, etc.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
- Ability to create and manage production documentation and traceability systems.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Detail-oriented, methodical, and proactive in problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Capable of coordinating between production, logistics, and engineering teams.
