Medical Receptionist

An Outpatient Mental Health clinic located in Baltimore is seeking a dynamic, friendly and upbeat professional, full-time Medical Receptionist.

Responsibilities:

This person will perform administrative functions such as scheduling appointments, handling cancellations, sending out appointment reminders, gathering required information and documents from clients, providing general information, and completing authorizations while managing referrals.

The Front Office Coordinator is the first and last representative seen, this role is responsible for ensuring that all patients start and end their concierge medical experience with a positive interaction.

General Duties:

Oversee and manage all clinical and administrative functions within the office

Responsible for opening and closing the clinic on a daily basis

Ensuring all opening and closing checklists are completed each day

Responsible for monitoring, maintaining and tracking daily statistics

Prepares and submits reports as required

Displays exceptional customer service skills in responding to all inquiries from patients, outside agencies, and coworkers

Authorizes, coordinates, and monitors daily site activities such as supply ordering, IT, maintenance issues, phones, etc.

Oversee and ensure supply inventory is adequately maintained and managed

Responsible for monitoring the clinical team in meeting demands of patient volumes and handling complaints regarding clinical staff

Maintains clinic facility and equipment as well as order office supplies

Responsible for clinic cleanliness and coordination of repairs and maintenance

Presents a positive, professional appearance and convey a professional demeanor in the performance of assigned duties

Responsible for following all facility, organization and department precautions and procedures in the performance of all job duties to ensure a safe work environment for self and others

Completes compliance requirements as needed

Back up all employees and roles in the office as necessary

Resolves patient concerns and staff issues to ensure quality patient service

Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested

Maintains strictest confidentiality

Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Education:

  • Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Customer Service: 2 years (Required)

Salary:   $25-30/hr.
