Loan Process Administrator-HYBRID-FT

A Nonprofit housing and community development organization serving northwest Baltimore has an immediate opening for a Loan Process Administrator (LPA), who manages Company’s loan program, which is comprised of three interest-free loans: Energy Savings Loan, Home Improvement, and Homebuyer Loan. The LPA is responsible for managing the loan origination process, overseeing escrow payments, loan servicing, and serving as an ambassador for the program.

In this role, you will:

  • Process loan applications in loan origination software and ensure receipt of all documents.
  • Oversee approval process, for both automatic approvals and applications requiring committee review.
  • Communicate with borrower about the loan process.
  • Process necessary documents.
  • Steward borrowers through settlement process
  • Coordinate and conduct settlements.
  • Process recording of Deeds of Trust
  • Manage borrowers home renovation escrow accounts, as required.
  • Process payments to contractors and/or reimbursement to borrowers, as required.
  • Maintain loan accounts data base and/or spreadsheets.
  • Maintain loan program database.
  • Process post-settlement requests for subordination, payoff, forbearance, verification of mortgage, and Certificate of Satisfaction, collaborating with finance team as necessary.
  • Maintain records and prepare quarterly reports for the Community Housing Committee
  • Analyze data and produce other reports, as needed.
  • Communicate with homebuyers, homeowners, borrowers, and contractors with an emphasis on customer service and effective professional relationships.

Applicants will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a housing related field; mortgage experience a plus

Additional Skills/Requirements:

  • Knowledge of mortgage lending, underwriting, and real estate transactions preferred.
  • Effective communication with clients and housing professionals: lenders, realtors & title attorneys
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft 365 platforms
  • Familiarity with mortgage origination and loan servicing software
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: $55,000-$65,000 annually; Salary commensurate with experience. 

Schedule:  Full-time; Hybrid, In the office at least 3 days per week.
