Social Media & Digital Content Specialist

A full-service print, design, and marketing firm located in the Baltimore metro area is seeking to hire a Full-time Social Media & Digital Content Specialist will lead and manage the digital and social content and management efforts for organization—including planning, shooting, developing, and editing images and videos to capture important facets of the business. These images and videos may be used on websites, in marketing campaigns and marketing materials, for educational purposes, at events, and on social media. Creativity and independent judgement are required to determine the composition of the desired images, people, products, settings, and lighting needed to achieve the desired results. This person will also be responsible for managing all social media channels, featuring and promoting the content they have created.

Responsibilities:

  • Own strategy and content creation for all company social media channels
  • Develop an overarching social media strategy that aligns with our organizational marketing plan
  • Write clever, concise posts for every channel
  • Hourly management of all social pages
  • Identify and manage entire process to curate and post photo and video content
  • Independently identify opportunities to create content
  • Take photos and film videos on set or on location—this will include internal and client sites
  • Plan the shoot with the appropriate internal or external contacts
  • Edit footage in post-production
  • Capture and edit visual content for multiple platforms
  • Deliver final product to various sources, including internal and external customers, media, graphic designers and corporate communications
  • Retouch, resize and enhance images as needed using Photoshop or other photography software
  • Maintain excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Practice sustained attention to detail, with a focus on creativity and artistic ability
  • Practice time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with photo and video editing software
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to write and produce clever, concise, engaging content
  • Ability to manage projects from concept to execution
  • Familiarity with various types of camera equipment and accessories
  • A keen eye for detail and a well-developed artistic ability
  • High level of organization and able to manage projects and time efficiently
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
  • Ability to be flexible and patient
