Food & Nutrition Host/Hostess II-FT

A hospital that is part of the largest and most comprehensive providers of health-related services to the people of Greater Baltimore region, is seeking to hire a Full-time Food & Nutrition Host II to join its team. Will be responsible for preparing and delivering and picking up trays for patients, communicating pertinent information regarding menu preferences, delivering nourishment, taking inventory of floor supplies, and re-supplying them to a par level.

Responsibilities:

  • Works as team member with the patient/patient’s family, nursing, and food service support to maximize patient meal satisfaction.
  • Practices exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Communicate frequently with the patient care team for any patients who are problematic, in isolation, or incapable or menu completion for insight into known preferences or family request.
  • Performs minor food preparation and portioning tasks in accordance with departmental policy.

Requirements:

  • Entry level knowledge; basic employment skills; High School diploma: GED equivalent or High School certificate
  • Demonstrates the ability to follow verbal instructions.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively verbally.
  • Prior food service experience is desired.

Please note: As a condition of employment, if not already completed, all new hires are required to receive the first dose of the COVID-19 Vaccination Series prior to their Occupational Health pre-employment assessment and scheduled to complete the Vaccine Series within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
