Executive Assistant – Ritual-FT

A synagogue congregation, located in Pikesville, is seeking an Executive Assistant – Ritual.

 

Responsibilities
Roles & Responsibilities – including, but not limited to the following:

Executive Assistant
Manages Hazzan (Cantor) calendar: scheduling, meetings, programs, etc.
Assists with Hazzan’s correspondences
Maintain weekly Shabbat honors and assignments in conjunction with Rabbinic Assistant
Oversee annual updating of Wings of Memory (Yahrzeit/Memorial Book), tracking submissions and donations, modifying listings, working with Director of Communications and Marketing on proofreading the final document.
Assist clergy with identifying and assigning roles and honors for all Shabbat and Holiday Services.
Collaborate with administrative team as needed to support all clergy team needs
Answers phones and direct callers to correct individuals/departments

B’nei Mitzvah Oversight:
Point person to families throughout the B’nei Mitzvah process
Oversee assignment of B’nei Mitzvah dates
Prepare and disseminate all materials to families and students
Schedule lessons for students

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communications: can articulate messages to other staff members, congregants, and families clearly and succinctly
Ability to work both independently and in a fast-paced team environment
High standard of excellence, dedication, flexibility and a “do whatever it takes to accomplish the job” attitudeQualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of work experience
Tech savvy, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Constant Contact, etc.
Database management experience with ShulCloud is a plus.
Knowledgeable of Jewish traditions and lifecycles
Proficient in the Hebrew language is a plus

 

Pay:  $50-58K

 

Benefits: This is a full-time exempt position with excellent benefits that include health insurance, 403B retirement fund, sick and vacation time.

 

Schedule:  Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-3pm
