Director of Investments-HYBRID-FT

A large Jewish nonprofit through its affiliate, which operates an $800 Million an investment pool created to manage the investment assets for itself, its agencies, and dozens of other not-for-profit organizations, is seeking a Director of Investments who be the primary staff person supporting the volunteer investment committee process.  In this role you will be responsible for working closely with the chairs of the various committees and the investment consultants to coordinate the collection, analysis, and dissemination of information from the underlying investment managers.  This position will be also responsible for reporting to the not-for-profit clients; providing information and meeting with their boards and investment committees to provide updates on the JCIF; and other tasks as deemed necessary.

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with the Chair of the investment committee and outside investment consultant to plan and execute regularly scheduled investment committee meetings.
  • Monitor financial reporting from investment managers and report findings and returns to the appropriate committees and members.
  • Create quarterly materials detailing returns and any changes in the management process for dissemination to clients and committee members.
  • Provide customer support service to 50+ institutional clients invested with the nonprofit.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. College degree in finance or economics is preferred or an equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • Logical decision-making process incorporating analysis and judgment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and foster deep relationships.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills including the ability to organize and synthesize data to reach conclusions.
  • Attention to detail combined with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with team.

Pay: $85,000-$95,000 annually; Salary commensurate with experience.
