A comprehensive human services organization is seeking a Full-time PRP & Quality Assurance Coordinator to be a vital part in furthering its mission. As an essential part of the everyday operations of the agency, PRP & Quality Assurance Coordinator will be responsible for managing a small team of PRP counselors and insuring departmental and federal compliance. The role will focus on PRP counselors’ evaluation, mentoring, guidance and management and medical compliance. The PRP & Quality Assurance Coordinator will be responsible for the smooth operations of the PRP team and ensuring proper procedures and documentation is provided under federal and state guidance. A candidate for this position will have a people-centered approach and experience working in a non-profit environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Directs the day-to-day operation and administration of the program, in accordance with program goals and objective; oversees program coordination and logistics; prepares necessary reports; resolves problems and makes changes to accommodate changing priorities and needs
- Coordinate day-to-day operational tasks of the PRP team to meet the needs of the department and agency.
- Manage the performance of a small PRP counselor team to include evaluations, guidance, mentorship.
- Coordinate with administrative departments to retain, staff and recruit new team members.
- Analyze and examine existing policies and procedures in the PRP Department. Make change suggestions and implement changes as needed
- Track and report team outcomes in periodic management and leadership meetings.
- Creates and implements processes to ensure that the company is performing at the standards outlined by COMAR and CARF.
- Monitor timely submission of documentation.
- Perform quality assurance of agency records.
- Lead support efforts for accreditation and compliance for CARF, BHA, Medicaid, etc., as pertains to the appropriate mental health department.
- Assist in accreditation and compliance efforts.
- Actively work with mental health departments to ensure set guidelines are followed and compliance requirements are met.
- Creates and implements processes to ensure that the company is performing at the standards outlined by COMAR and CARF.
- Advising the Director regarding all development and implementation of rehabilitation services reflecting the present and anticipated needs of the organization.
- Assures that services meet the needs of the individuals served by the program
- The candidate will develop and maintain the direction of the agency based on its current goals, strategic plan, and policies and procedures.
- Assist with program growth and stability
- Development of a sense of team through training and ongoing supervision, support, and evaluation of PRP staff, including disciplinary actions when needed
Education and Skills:
- Relevant Master’s or above degree in Mental Health or related field
- 3-5 Years in a supervisory position of similar responsibilities related to medical compliance and service delivery.
- Prior PRP or PRP leadership experience
- Knowledge base to include extensive background in current state and federal compliance regulations
