Business Development Manager/Director-HYBRID-FT

A dynamic CPA and consulting firm, committed to a culture of excellence, offering accounting & finance, audit, income tax, risk/IT risk advisory, state & local tax, managed IT, and other services, is seeking a Business Development Manage or Director to join its team (*Title/level will be determined based on relevancy and depth of sales experience).  While this new hire may work remotely, travel to our office, prospect/client meetings, networking events, conferences, etc. will be expected, based on business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research, identify new potential clients and develop relationships within the Baltimore, Northern Virginia, and DC areas by actively prospecting and qualifying opportunities
  • Cold call/email prospective clients to set up introductory and/or scoping meetings
  • Attend meetings with prospects virtually and in person
  • Team sell with practice leads and/or technical subject matter experts to close new deals
  • Monitor, track and report on leads and other progress towards achieving sales goals
  • Attend professional association and networking functions to develop a deep network of contacts in the region
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of current markets and competitors
  • Collaborate with Marketing to coordinate and/or sponsor networking, branding and other events
  • Maintain all activity, meeting and opportunity data in HubSpot, the CRM Client Relationship Management tool

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or another relevant
  • Minimum 5 years of B2B business development experience selling consulting, advisory, accounting, implementation, and/or related professional services to C-level executives at public and/or large private companies in the Baltimore, Northern Virginia and/or DC area(s)
  • Strong relationships in the Baltimore, Northern Virginia, and/or DC areas that can be leveraged for networking and new client opportunities for Clearview
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Experience delivering and negotiating proposals as well as successfully closing deals
  • Unwavering integrity and ethics
  • Willingness and ability to travel to client/prospect meetings, events, etc. throughout the mid-Atlantic

Preferred:

  • Active participation in relevant networking associations in the Baltimore, Northern Virginia, and/or DC region
  • Experience with HubSpot and/or another Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
