Behavior Support Services Consultant-REMOTE POSITION

A non-profit organization which offers adult medical day, vocational, educational, day habilitation, and medical, social services, and youth autism services programs is seeking to hire a Behavior Support Services (BSS) Consultant-BCBA, LCPC, or LCSW-C. This position requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, along with the knowledge and expertise to guide staff on effective behavioral strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • As the company receives referrals for Behavior Support Services (BSS), cases will be assigned to a BSS Consultant who will be responsible for producing the requested/authorized services (i.e., behavior assessment, behavior plan, and behavior consultation)
  • All BSS services should focus on positive behavior interventions and utilize a person-centered approach, to address undesirable behaviors to allow individuals with disabilities to reach their highest level of independence
  • This position is classified as an independent consultant, which offers the flexibility to create your own schedule, work from home and interact with other DDA-funded agencies and residential homes throughout Central Maryland; further details discussed during the interview process

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience of working with persons with behavioral issues and developmental disabilities
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
  • LCSW-C, LCPC, or BCBA required; This is a State requirement and no exceptions can be made
  • Knowledge and demonstrated skills in the theory of applied behavioral analysis, behavioral strategies/techniques, and evidence-based practices
  • Ability to work with diverse populations
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Effective time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
